Hot air through nonwoven fabric, also known as hot air cotton, is a new type of thermal insulation material widely used in N95 folding masks. It has replaced spray-bonded cotton and imitation silk cotton. Hot air cotton is composed of ES fibers, which are skin-core composite fibers successfully combining low-melting-point and high-melting-point components on a single filament. Hot-air cotton boasts high production speed, large output, and low cost.

To balance both warmth and protection, some manufacturers use hot air through nonwoven fabrics with high loft, good elasticity, soft hand feel, strong warmth retention, and good air permeability and water permeability.
